Home setup in my bedroom
« on: Jul 22, 2011, 22:07 »
Nifty little panorama image, with freeware MS tool! check it out here: http://research.microsoft.com/en-us/um/redmond/groups/ivm/ICE/

I got 2 reloops TTs, Ecler NUO5 mixer, KRK VXT6 monitors, Audio Technica M50 headphones, Roland Quad capture, oxygen 49, badass PC, Roland TD3 V-Drums.

actually just got the roland quad capture, waaaaaay better then my previous PCI card (Maudiophile 192)!

looks like a nice wee setup mate ;)

much better than my broken old laptop, my hd215's & my bed which serves as my desk while making music. :shakeshark:

them e-drum things look like they'd be quite fun to mess around with :D

v-drums were quite necessary since I'm in an apartment now...
My acoustic kit, which was shit anyway, had to stay behind.
The V-drums hooked to the quad capture(_very_ nice latency!), and ableton make fore a very nice setup to also just bypass the shortcommings of the cheap TD3 drum mashine, which has only about 25 kits natively...

I actually do close to nothing with the drumsetup for tunes I make. I've just always been a drummer and beeing able to hook it up to ableton (it automatically sets the pads to the correct sound if you open a kit in live) is very nice...

For drumming DnB you'd have to be a pretty fast drummer, I'm not at that level yet.
Altough I could do a standard amen break for about Half a minute :P
